Overview

Alpine Larch from Glenalmond Timber is a sustainably sourced softwood cladding product, valued for its natural resilience, and classic aesthetic.

Grown in the harsh Alpine climate, this slow-grown species delivers superior dimensional stability, high natural durability, and a refined grain structure—making it an excellent choice for exterior timber cladding in both residential and commercial projects.

With its warm, golden tones and fine, uniform grain, Alpine Larch offers a contemporary yet natural finish that enhances any architectural style. Left untreated, it weathers beautifully to a silver-grey patina, or it can be coated to retain its original character.

Planed

A glassy-smooth, dressed finish.

Fine Sawn

The traditional choice, boards are passed through a band saw to create a soft textured, sawn face.
finish.jpg

Riven

Randomly oscilating cutters plane smooth swaying lines into the board face to create this unique finish. No two boards will look alike.
finish.jpg

Weatherbeaten

Achieved using a lighter wire brush, this finish accentuates the harder grain of the timber, creating a weathered, two-tone finish when combined with coatings.

Wire Brushed

Wire brushes are used to remove softer wood fibres, creating a rough structured finish
