NatureSeal CU is a premium two-stage siliconised wood treatment system. Developed to protect, preserve, and beautify outdoor timber, it provides long-lasting defence against mould, algae, and weathering – while developing a beautiful, natural silver-grey finish.
NatureSeal CU is an innovative two-stage wood treatment system designed to extend the life and beauty of outdoor timber. Whether applied to new installations or older, weathered wood, it penetrates deep into the material, providing protection from within.
NatureSeal CU is built on a two-stage siliconised wood protection technology designed to work with the natural structure of timber rather than forming a surface film. Unlike conventional coatings that sit on top of the wood, NatureSeal CU penetrates deep into the timber fibres, providing protection from within while allowing the wood to remain breathable.
Stage 1 – Pre-Wash Preparation
The first stage cleans the wood surface and opens the timber’s pore structure. This ensures that surface contaminants are removed and that the active treatment in Stage 2 can penetrate evenly and effectively into the wood.
Stage 2 – Siliconised Wood Treatment
The second stage introduces a complex siliconised formulation that reacts within the wood structure. Once absorbed, it reduces moisture uptake, inhibits mould and algae growth, and significantly slows down weathering.
Exposure to natural daylight activates the gradual development of stable silver-grey patina, protecting the timber while enhancing its natural appearance. The result is long-term durability without the need for surface films, paints, or frequent reapplication.
Clear (After 3 months)
Contains no added pigment, so the timber keeps its natural colour and character before gradually weathering to a soft silver-grey finish within 1-3 months.
Light Grey (Just coated)
Pigmented with light grey to imitate weathered timber as soon as it is installed.
Mid Grey (Just coated)
A slighlty darker shade of grey to light grey, showing shades of the natural colour of the timber behind the coating.Get the all the latest news from Glenalmond Timber direct to your inbox
